Important Note from MOA!
Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 7:06AM We believe user names and email addresses were exposed in a readable format. Passwords were also exposed, but in a highly encrypted format that is difficult to decode. However, since these are common credentials for both the Forum and your membership account on the MOA web site, we strongly recommend that you change your password on the MOA web site.
Log in, select "Account Management" at the top of the home page, then select "Login/Password".
If you have lost or forgotten your password, you can get back on by visiting http://stl.bmwmoa.org/Core/findmepage.aspx
If your email address has changed, please contact the club office to get back into your account. You can do this by calling (636)394-7277during business hours in the eastern time zone or using the online contact page for our IT Administrator Jeff Betz:
http://www.bmwmoa.org/contact_form/Jeff%20Betz/jeff
We also strongly advise that you change your password on any website where you use the same or similar password, especially those that may have your credit card information or serve as a financial institution.
We are currently pursuing several avenues to discover how the forum was compromised and prevent it from happening again, and we will keep the membership apprised on the forum. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this further, please contact the club office at the phone number above or Ray Zimmerman, club executive director, at rayz@bmwmoa.org.
Sincerely,
BMW Motorcycle Owners of America
Greg Feeler, President
