Time to Go Camping (and Riding)!

The club campout is coming right up.  We have about 35 people already signed up, so don't miss out.  There are a couple of street rides already layed out, and Randy has a two-part dirt/GS ride set up as well.  If you are planing on the GS ride, drop Randy a note, please.  The club is doing food for you Friday night, and we'll have dinner at Eddyline Brewery on Saturday night.  The campground is doing breakfast (your nickel) on Sunday morning.

If you are tent camping, just show up and pay your $7/night.  If you want a cabin or are bringing a trailer/motorhome, contact the campground now to see if there is still space.  And while you are at it, if you've not previously, please contact Dawn to let her know you are coming.

400,000 Miles of Riding, Wrenching, and Eating

At the April meeting, Jay Kuhns was awarded with his 400,000 mile certificate from BMW MOA!  Best I can figure, all you need to get to 400,000 is a white beard, retirement, and a K-bike designed to eat miles 1,000 at a time.

Congratulations, Jay.

Happenings!

The new dealership held an open house for club members only on Wednesday, April 18th.  Some 40+ members showed up for pizza, a shop tour, and a lot of good fun and discussion.  There were a lot of good vibes, with more bikes arriving a visit from BMW NA the same day, and a very enthusiastic crew representing the dealership.  It was noted that this one of the largest dealerships in the country, if you just count square feet!  Now on to the job of being the biggest by other measures as well.

One of the Finest Riding Articles Ever

Randy Meyer brought this article to my attention.  I remember reading it awhile back, but as Randy said, it is well worthy of reading again and sharing with others. So simply click here to read The Pace.  You'll be able to save and print it as well.

To quote Randy, "I consider it sage wisdom from a great street rider and one time professionl road racer."
